My Story

Hi, I’m Michelle — and if you know me, you know the grass has never once grown under my feet.

Wife, mom (human & furry), friend, emergency nurse. I’m on a beach or diving any chance I get. The kind of traveler who plans the next trip before the last one ends — usually bringing my favorite people along for the ride.

For nearly three decades, I showed up for people in their most broken, most vulnerable moments. I know what it means to carry impossible pressure — to hold space for others in their darkest hours. I also know, deeply, what that can take.

I needed something that gave back.

Something that was entirely, creatively mine. Not a replacement — an addition.

Crochet has been part of my life since my MomMom Doyle (Sadie) first put a hook in my hands. Like so many things, I picked it up and set it down over the years as life got busy. Then one fall night, three years ago, I sat down with a hook in hand and yarn in my lap — and I haven’t stopped since.

The dragonfly woven into everything I make is personal — a symbol of resilience, transformation, and creating something beautiful from wherever life has taken you.

Knot Perfect isn’t a typo or a clever pun. It’s a philosophy — a belief that imperfection isn’t something to fix. It’s where character lives. Where beauty resides.

Every piece I make carries that with it — stitched with intention, finished with care, and made for people who appreciate the difference.

Different work. The same heart. One knot at a time.

For my amazing husband, Frank, and our three incredible kids — Dan, Tori, and Gracie — none of this happens without you.

Thank you 🤍
